Best Ways to Lose Extra Pounds
Many of us have had weight problems at least once in the life. When the extra pounds become a problem, each of us is trying to get rid of them and we search for the best weight loss program. We all know very well that the extra pounds influences our lives, make us lose confidence in ourselves, be ashamed of the way we look.
Nowadays there are many methods of weight loss, from food diets to slimming exercises and pills that promise to do wonders for your body. In many commercials companies promote their products as the best solution to get rid of extra pounds in no time. The temptation is great and many people get to use all sorts of products and keep all sorts of very severe food diets hoping for miraculous results. Some of these methods indeed give the desired result, making people happy at the moment because they have managed to lose weight, but after giving up the product they are amazed to notice that as quickly as they got off those pounds, they start again taking weight, sometimes more than the loss weight.
Before you decide which method you will follow to get rid of extra pounds you must be informed about that method, and nowadays information became easily accessible through the internet, with a few clicks you can find information about the results of each method and even opinions of those who used that method. It is true that every body is different and not all react the same way, but if a product is really good you will surely find more positive opinions than negative ones.
Besides the fact that you may regain the pounds that you struggled to get rid of, many of the products available on the market contain chemicals harmful to the body, so that in time may appear different diseases caused by them, or in the worst case, they can contain addictive substances. Therefore you must be very well informed about the product you want to use.
Besides this, before starting a weight loss program, you should first check which is the cause that led to weight gain because it can be a health issue and then you first have to solve this problem and then have to worry about losing weight. In addition, you can spend money on all sorts of products that should help get rid of extra pounds, but that have no effect because of the disturbance you suffer . Weight disorders may have more health-related causes such as stress or hormonal disorder caused by thyroid disease, so be wise to do some analysis before you start any weight loss program.
If you have done this, and you have no health problem, then you can search for a weight loss program that is suitable. Do not be impressed by the methods that are supposed to wonder would you get rid of a lot of pounds in a little while because as I said is not always so. The safest and surest way to get rid of extra pounds remains changing your diet and lifestyle, and of course the exercises play a very important role in this process, so if possible try to do some exercise every day, regardless if you go jog in the park or prefer to go to the gym.

Running For Weight Loss 4 Ways That Running is Best for Weight Loss
Looking to slim down? Heres why you should be running.

Any exercise is good exercise, but when it comes to losing weight, it’s hard to beat running. After all, running is one of the most efficient ways to burn calories and get fit without having to restrict your diet. If you’re already a runner, keep on keepin’ on. If you’re not a runner yet but interested in losing weight, here are four reasons running can be the best exercise for weight loss.
1. Running works even when you’re at rest. High-intensity exercise like running stimulates more “afterburn” than low-intensity exercise. That is, even when comparing running with walking the same distance, studies find that running will lead to greater weight loss, most likely because your resting energy expenditure stays elevated after you run. In a long-term comparison study of runners and walkers, calories burned through running led to 90% more weight loss than calories burned through walking.
2. Running is time-efficient. Even if the myth that running a mile and walking a mile burn the same number of calories were true, running is a considerably faster way to burn those calories. Most people can run two or three times as far as they can walk in a given amount of time. At the other end of the spectrum, super-intense but short workouts, such as the "Scientific 7-minute Workout" from the Human Performance Institute, may burn more calories per minute per running, but because theyre so short, your total caloric burn isnt as great if you ran.
3. Running is convenient. Though many of us have accumulated a vast arsenal of GPS gadgets and tech tees over the years, little is actually required to go running. You can do it alone. You can do it almost anywhere. You don’t need any equipment beyond a pair of running shoes. (And if you’re careful about injury and build up slowly, you may not even need those.) For this reason alone, running is the best workout for weight loss because it’s cheap, it’s accessible, and there are fewer barriers to maintaining a routine, even while traveling.
4. Two words: runner’s high. The first rule of exercising for weight loss is that if you don’t enjoy it, you won’t stick with it. Fortunately, studies support what many runners have experienced on an anecdotal level—running can actually get you high. Scientists have found links between moderate to intense exercise and morphine-like brain chemicals called endocannabinoids, which suggest endorphins alone aren’t responsible for the occasional flood of euphoria that rushes over you during a hard run. That floaty, happy sensation you had after your last race—makes you want to go for another run, right?

Cut carbs.
Yes, youve heard it a zillion times. The reason: It works. In just one of many recent studies, a Journal of Nutrition report found that men who reduced their carb intake to just 8% of their daily calories lost seven pounds of fat and gained two pounds of muscle in six weeks.

Lift first, then run.
By doing cardio after youve lifted—when youre already tired—the same speed or intensity will have a greater effect than had you done it beforehand, says McGarr.

Change directions.
Try this interval-training trick on the elliptical trainer: Ride for 30 seconds as fast as you can, then immediately reverse your direction and ride for 30 additional seconds just as fast in the opposite direction. Rest 60 seconds and repeat. The force of stopping your momentum, as well as going from a dead stop to full speed twice in the same interval, will give your fat-burning efforts a massive boost, says MF training adviser Alwyn Cosgrove, C.S.C.S.

Fill up on high-fiber foods.
Consider them "good carbs." Their bulk takes up space in your stomach, helping you feel full and eat less. The top fiber food: beans, which contain 8 grams per 1/2 cup. Research shows that guys who added 12 grams of fiber a day to their diet lost a quarter of an inch from their love handles, without otherwise modifying their diet.
Top your salad with vinaigrette dressing.
Studies show that acidic foods such as vinegar and lemon juice work like lighter fluid in your bodys fat incinerator, increasing carb combustion 20%-40%. Researchers believe the acids blunt insulin spikes and slow the rate at which food empties from your stomach. Fermented foods like pickles and yogurt are also good sour options.

Dont skip meals.
Not eating for long periods of time puts your body into a catabolic state, meaning it starts to break down muscle tissue fo energy— and conserves fat.

Try the VersaClimber.

Dont be a couch potato.
If youre a TV junkie, add up the number of hours you watch right now, and cut out all reruns—even if theres an episode of Seinfeld on youve never seen. Spend the time you save on your feet: outdoors or in the gym.

Hit the weights.
If youre lazy, its not as bad as you think—just 10 minutes a day of lifting, three days a week, will help. Harvard research shows that 30 minutes of weight training per week has a greater reduction on waist size than almost any other variable.

Pass on the potatoes.
In any form—mashed and baked, as well as French fries and potato chips. They raise levels of insulin in the blood, triggering your body to stop burning—and start storing—fat. (Sweet potatoes are acceptable; they have more nutrients and fiber.)

Eat your biggest meal of the day after you lift.
It takes calories to digest food. And researchers at the University of Nevada found that it takes 73% more calories to process that food after a weight-training session than if you hadnt worked out at all.
